Honest To A Fault
Home Town: Chesterfield
Jooped review: "Honest to a fault are a four piece alternative / pop and Indie band. The bands earlier tracks where heavier with a meatier alternative sound, the newer tracks have a great live following but seem to lack in content. Their older songs, for me sound skilled and distinctive.
The young musicians bring a nice change what ever style music they are playing, bringing you something that is different and surprising. My favourite tracks are TODD and Monophonic, bringing some different beats and some dark and mysterious twists.
If you are into the new Indie and Emo scene you will probably like their newer songs, so the band bring together quite a lot of different styles on stage. When I saw the band live I was told that the lead guitarist (Finney) had dropped his guitar so had to borrow another, this was quite obvious in the gig with Finney looking annoyed and struggling with his guitar. The gig went well with all 150 people in the audience enjoying the band. Look forward to hearing their new EP in March."
What the band say about themselves: "Hey were Honest To A Fault!
Were from chesterfield, and started out a year ago as 'Down With The Others'
But we got bored of playing that style of music, so decided as we were changing style, we should also change our band name.
We should hopefully have an ep recorded by march time.
And hopefully have gigged all over Chesterfield and Sheffield.
If you're interested in playing with us sometime, or having us as a support band, then message us =]
Were a 4 piece that play power-pop, alternative rock with emotive lyrics.
As we havn't been to the studio to record any of our new stuff, the songs on our myspace is our old stuff! We should be recording soonish in Jan/Feb so keep a lookout for our new material!
Get in touch with us if you have any news on gigs we could play, or to chat like!"
