The Butterfly

The butterfly attack

Home Town: Leeds

Jooped review: "The Butterfly is a collective of unusual sounds, disturbed happenings and alternative style and music. The Butterfly makes an exciting drama for your ears with an unpredictable start, middle and ending. With the release of their new CD on the 5th of March, it will be another wave of ear catching music. The band has four members which all have many roles as their songs have many quirks and changes with their instruments. Their music really does reach out and absorb you into some strange drama. You could compare the band to Joy division or Muse but you would only have a feel of what the band is like, just listen for your self and make your own opinions."

What the band say about themselves: "Bulletproof, briefly born under a bad sign in Bridgnorth, became aware of the existence of Jell in the field of five-a-side football. At first both men formed rival beat combinations: a matter only settled by a series of deadly tasks. Both relocating to Leeds to study phlogiston, caloric and the existence of vital forces. Here Jell and MC Theodore Campbell (Coruschord) began an intense debate concerning the possibility of an objective morality, purely through the medium of diss raps. James Cameron returned from Australia after an abortive career as a door to door salesman. An idea for a group where all instruments were replaced with angry stroked wasps was considered. The band later retreated into more traditional instruments, yet the material remained roughly the same. The Butterfly Corporate Solutions Plc. created."
